Here are some more pictures that didn't fall under "Christmas"...

Paulie loves his playgroup friends, especially Meran, who is his best friend for sure. He asks to go to Meran's house several times a day! We went there with his playgroup just before the holidays to decorate cookies, and needless to say, he loved it...

Here, the boys are rolling around in sprinkles and eating candy off the floor...what could be more fun?!

This is Paulie and his other friend, Gabby, whose mom babysits Paulie once a week while I work. I think he has a crush on her...he gives her little kisses all the time!

and while we're on the subject of his friends, here he is with his friends, AJ and Zoe...

Despite the cold weather this year, Paulie did finally make it outside to play in the snow for the first time...

Though he wasn't too sure about the sledding, he did enjoy just exploring and playing with the snow.

Christmas

The holidays seemed to come and go so quick, and me being laid up with a bad back for two weeks after Thanksgiving didn't help! But we did have a great Christmas at home this year. Paulie definitely got the idea of "presents" this year, and had a ball opening them and handing them out to everyone else. Here are some pictures of his Christmas #1 with Grandpa (who spent Christmas Day at Uncle Eric and Aunt Brandi's house in Boston)...

He loves this drum. It was full of instruments. Grandpa warned us that this present "might be annoying"....

Christmas morning we spent at home with just the three of us, though Grandma and Uncle Dan came over later in the day for dinner. It was so much fun to watch Paulie open his presents and get excited over each one.

His favorite presents were definitely his toy broom and mop. He LOVES to sweep, vacuum, dust, and clean in general. Lets hope this lasts through is teens!

He also loves to brush his teeth (maybe he'll be a dentist instead of a janitor!) and loved his Winnie the Pooh toothbrush. He tried to brush the toy cow's teeth right after this...

Paulie also got the Sesame Street couch he's sitting on and took each present back to the couch to sit and open it. That's another of his favorites, especially since it has a big picture of "melmo" on the front.

I can't believe winter's here (not technically I suppose, but tell that to the thermometer). I thought I would post some pictures of some of the fun things we did this fall before it's time to post the holiday pictures!

Haircut

I had to put up one more post...(don't expect me to be this good in the future!) Paulie got his first haircut on Saturday. It was a tough decision for me, but he did need it. With all the summer humidity gone, he really did have a mullet at times. Anyway, he was mostly cooperative, but a little hard to keep still. Here are some pictures....

Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year, and it turns out it might be one of Paulie's too. He loved trick or treating - even though he's never had candy before and had no idea what people were putting in his bag! He just happily held it out for people to fill up. He loved giving out candy to the kids at the door too. Here are a couple of pictures of the little spider...

Paulie's Aunt Brandi suggested that I start a "Paulie Blog" to keep everyone up to date on what and how he's doing. I thought it was a great idea, so here goes.....

Paulie was born on June 4th, 2007 ...

and he grew...

and grew....

and now he's (gulp!) 17 months old!

I can't believe how big he's getting and he amazes his dad and me more everyday. So, I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date on all the fun and important "happenings" in Paulie's life!
